NEWCASTLE IS A ROCKIN' HOT SPOT FOR NEW BANDS

There must be something in the air in Newcastle at the minute. It is THE place to be for new bands and new festivals right now.

Hit The North was one of the highlights of 2017 and was a showcase of North East talent, with a sprinkling of what the rest of the UK has to offer. Live From Times Square is always a highlight of the summer season with huge names such as The Libertines and Manic Street Preachers headlining consistently stellar bills. This year, Newcastle welcomes a new addition to the festival posse with This Is Tommorow, headlined by Catfish and the Bottlemen.

In terms of bands the list is endless. Sam Fender is on BBC's Sound of 2018 list, The Pale White are selling out everywhere they go and Little Comets are set to headline the O2 Academy in a huge homecoming show. Then there's the cosmic pop quartet, The Old Pink House and alternative outfit A Festival, A Parade. The list is endless right now.

Newcastle is a hub of talent and it's time people knew.
