INTRODUCING: CAMERON AVERY

Cameron Avery's 2017 debut LP, 'Ripe Dreams, Pipe Dreams' is something special. It's ripe. Hella ripe and full of nutrition.

After spending his early career with Tame Impala and Pond, before touring with Alex Turner and The Last Shadow Puppets in 2016, Avery released his first full length record, proving he was strong enough to go it alone.

There's no doubt the experience he would have gained with Pond, Tame Impala and The Last Shadow Puppets has helped him curate this excellent debut. It is also certain that the style of these bands have influenced Avery, particularly Tame Impala and The Last Shadow Puppets. Avery's debut is intelligently crafted, using eclectic instrumental arrangements and a mix of genre influences.

Avery's biggest talent lies in his lyrics however. His words are direct and punchy yet have an air of mystery. Predominantly, Avery writes from the perspective of a hopeless romance who's run out of luck, "well I'm wasted on fidelity as I edge upon insanity", in the brilliant 'Wasted on Fidelity'.

His music is infused by glamour and is broody as hell. It's not only his debut album that proves Cameron Avery is one cool dude however. His duet with Alexandra Saviour on YouTube is absolutely delicious, whilst his cover of Saviour's 'Girlie' is simply stunning. He can also be seen rockin' out with Turner, Kane and The Last Shadow Puppets at an intimate New York show, covering Bowie's 'Moonage Daydream'. And just so you know we ain't lying, here's the links. Enjoy.
