ARGUMENT CORNER: WOLF ALICE ARE THE BEST BAND OF THIS GENERATION

Wolf Alice are one of the few bands of this millennial generation to prove they will adapt not die. Most importantly, they won't let their fans die of boredom, which can't be said for most bands with a record or two released at the moment. As many bands who represent Generation Z continue to re-write their debut album and label it as their sophomore LP, Wolf Alice have evolved, adapted and grown to become a formidable force. Wolf Alice, right now, are the best band of this generation. In the short space of two records, their sound has already evolved considerably, whilst their confidence has grown dramatically.

When taken as separate entities, their two records demonstrate the large arsenal of talent they possess. They can produced a chirpy indie pop song with seeming ease, 'Bros', whilst they're no strangers to a grunge-infused, punching punk song, 'Yuk Foo'. They are able to express the tender side of life pretty well too however. 'Silk' shows their dramatic, emotional side whilst the spoken-word romance tale, the highlight of their second LP, 'Don't Delete The Kisses', exemplifies their brilliance.

They have the ability to make you smile, make you cry, make the hairs on your neck rise in awe and appreciation. They send shivers down your spine, they inspire you, but they also have the ability to intimidate you too. They're the one band of this generation where each song they produce makes you feel something, each song floods your body with emotion. It's simply frightening.

It is Ellie Rowsell's genius that sets them apart from the rest however. Once a timid princess, Rowsell is now a nonchalant rock star. She's one of the best in the country if not the world. Lyrically, she's always been impressive however she has grown significantly. She is now confident in her own ability, as show in 'Yuk Foo' particularly as she shouts, 'I wanna fuck all the people I meet', without a care in the world. Rowsell is now confident enough to say what she is feeling no matter how crude it may seem, or how vulnerable she may appear.

Wolf Alice are the real deal, the complete package, and any other cliché you can find synonymous for being simply the best. Nobody is near them right now. We can assure you of that.
