LIVE: EZRA FURMAN

The last flickers of daylight seeped through the stained-glass windows of The Albert Hall as Ezra Furman and his band arrived, surrounded by keyboards, guitars, a saxophone, xylophone and electric cello.

Ezra was the starred. Wearing a dress, tights and scarlet lipstick, he left all his energy on stage. He also dropped a rousing rendition of Kate Bush's 'Hounds of Love', into the set, a nice surprise. He ensured to celebrate the LGBQT community, performing in front of a clock face that read 'Trans Angelic Exodus'.

He finished with an unplanned encore, playing deeper cuts, channelling his inner Bob Dylan.
