Tonight, The Blinders have to graft much more than at Gorilla two weeks ago, but graft they did, forcing a crowd of head nodders to move a little more than their neck muscles. Anyone who wasn’t converted by set finale, 8 minutes epic, 'Brutus', was obliged to, as ring-leader Tom stepped into the crowd, taking mic, guitar and pedals with him. It was arguably them at their best. Complimented by the grotty surroundings of Salford’s dingy White Hotel, continually filled with smoke, the trio delivered a short sharp set that was as straight to the point as their music.
