LIVE: ARCTIC MONKEYS

Dressed in safari-beige, carefree and relaxed, Alex Turner waltzed across the stage as Arctic Monkeys smothered Glasgow with treats, performing a whole host of old tunes, sprinkling the new moon rock carefully. The sun refused to go to sleep, leading Turner to ask “what you got to do to get it to go dark round here?”, but the crowd didn’t care as they moshed to old classics, ‘Brianstorm’ and ‘The View From The Afternoon’, and sung their heart out to the rousing renditions of ‘Cornerstone’ and ‘505’, performed with Miles Kane. The encore saw a surprise inclusion of ‘From Ritz To The Rubble’, before the conquering ‘R U Mine?’ closed out an impressive day.
