The veteran trio brought their dirty Californian rock’N’roll
to Paris, returning the romance to rock music in the city of love. The
western-infused ‘Beat The Devils Tattoo’ proved to be a glorious highlight of
an incredible set. They dedicated the last song, ‘Whatever Happened To My
Rock’N’Roll to “that Lil Pump fucker”, who played on the opposing main stage before
them, a rapper more focused on orchestrating mosh pits than singing songs. The
finale of ‘Whatever Happened…’ saw frontman Robert Been jump down from the
stage and into the crowd, dropping the cool, calm and collected persona to rock
out with his adoring fans.
