A well-oiled machine, each cog perfectly in sync with one another,
Interpol have perfected a blue print for festival shows and they executed it
brilliantly. Anticipation for Arctic Monkeys built and the crowd tried to ignore
Interpol, but that was impossible as their dark post-punk sizzled, forcing
everyone to focus. The New York natives struggled in the sun somewhat, their
gloomy tunes certainly suit a more atmospheric, personally curated setting. However,
big hitters like ‘All The Rage Back Home’ and ‘Obstacle 1’ elevated their
performance, drawing the biggest reaction from the crowd that grew as the set
went on.
