LIVE: KASABIAN (LOLLAPALOOZA PARIS)

As the 20^th Century FOX theme tune blasted out Kasabian sauntered on stage, Serge Pizzorno in a blazing orange poncho a top an all-white ensemble. They launched into ‘Ill Ray (The King)’ before racing through their set, utilising the biggest weapons from their heavy loaded arsenal of anthems. There was a lot of talking, a lot of asking people to put their hands in the air and a lot of dallying around. however. They displayed energy and charisma yet there was a clumsiness to it and eventually their antics became cringeworthy. There was a lack of charm which took away from their brilliant songs.
