Dubbed by many as a ‘one hit wonder’, Portugal. The Man proved
they’re anything but. They played continuously, linking songs with intricate
instrumentals or snippets of covers including a brilliant rendition of the T.
Rex classic, ‘Children of the Revolution’. They kept the talking to a minimum, flying,
gliding through songs effortlessly, not stopping to change or tune guitars. The
infectious hit, ‘Feel It Still’ closed the set to a euphoric reception however
the set highlights came from elsewhere, with the glorious chorus of ‘Live In
The Moment’ receiving a rave reaction and older hits including ‘Hip Hop Kids’
and ‘Modern Jesus’ standing strong on their own.
