FASHION: MATT BERNINGER

Once an unassuming, nerdy nuisance, Matt Berninger has certainly improved his style over the last couple of years. Baby-faced, with a short but messy trim, his short-sleeved plain shirts made him look like geography teacher and his questionable dance moves meant he wasn't the suave superstar we know today. However, since 2004's career-defining Boxer, and 2017's Grammy-award-winning Sleep Well Beast, Matt Berninger himself has turned into an on-stage beast. The geek has gone and a suave monsieur has taken his place. Sauntering onto stage in a slick, slim-fit, jet-black suit, with a quirky shirt underneath, he's always looking dapper. His hair doesn't stand out like say an Alex Turner or Brandon Flowers trim does but it's well-kept and the right length at least. His square framed glasses maintain the geek look, but it's more a geek chic than anything. Singing love songs to oceanic audiences, throwing arms a loft, dancing wildly, chucking cups of wine out to his adoring fans, he's a cool cool customer, and one that's stylish and always aptly dressed for the occasion. At least he is nowadays anyway.

Whilst it's not a brightly shining gold suit as such, Berninger's subtle style is more easily achievable. Whether you're after a smart look, or even a more casual one, Berninger's style is one you can copy.
