THE SHOOTOUT: CARNIVAL CLUB

1) Tell us your most interesting story from gigging...
On our first DIY tour we were towing a caravan to stay in because it was cheaper than paying for hotels. And as we past through the centre of Bristol everything went wrong, the jockey wheel dropped and ended up throwing sparks all over the place, leaving  a scrape across the main road 100 meters long and about half an inch deep. Ended up burning most the back of the band and front of the caravan leaving the worse smell.

2) Best part of being in a band...
The best part of being in a band is going out and playing something four lads made in a basement and showing it to as many as possible.

3) And the worst?
Post tour blues will always be downfall. It’s hard going from the road to the real world.

4) If you could take credit for one song what would it be?
Sympathy For The Devil - the best song ever written...

5) Best TV/Movie you've watched recently?
The first season of True Detective is something else man - get on that.

6) Lager or Ale?
This could be difficult, everyone has completely different bevvies in carnival club. I’ll be a regular John with lager because I’ve never got my head around ales... always drink responsibly though.

7) Has anyone in the band ever worked at a carnival or anything like that?
Kai was around circus folk his whole life you’ll have to ask him all about that!

8)  Describe your sound in 3 words
Sick as fuck.

9) Favourite member of One Direction?
Harry Styles is the only one... class album!

10) Any pre-show rituals?
Buxton water, walkers multipack, and the Stones
