Oranje are a relatively new band on the scene but there's already plenty of positive whispers about them. So we challenged them with 'The Shootout', see how they got on:
1. Tell us your most interesting story from gigging...
Our most interesting story from gigging was when we were in Norwich and had to pack up the cars and fit us all in. James literally couldn't breathe with the amount of stuff he had on him. Then Elle in the front with drums on her lap. It was insane how much stuff we were able to fit.
2. Best part of being in a band...
Enjoying writing and performing together, as cheesy as it sounds 'just having fun as a group'.
3. And the worst?
The distance is hard whilst we are at uni, like Elle being in Manchester and Duncan in Guildford.
4. If you could take credit for one song what would it be?
'Hooked on a Feeling' by Blue Suede!!!!!
5. Best TV/Movie you've watched recently?
Dez - Minimalist on Netflix. Duncan and Elle - Stanford Prison Experiment. James - Wayne's World.
6. If you weren't in a band, what would you all hope to be doing?
James - Wetherspoons boy. Dez - Fashion college. Duncan - Arts college. Elle - Would have left the UK and disappeared to Hawaii.
7. What's your biggest musical guilty pleasure?
SPICE GIRLS AND ABBA
8. Describe your sound in 3 words...
Grungey, loud and very loud.
9. Dream band to tour with?
Foo Fighters all the way.
10. Any pre-show rituals?
Dez warms up and meditates, Duncan and James argue and Elle has a drink and stays out the way.
