THE SHOOTOUT: PEACH CLUB

1. Tell us your most interesting story from gigging...
Probably the time we supported Skinny Girl Diet at the old Owl Sanctuary and Becca was almost sick on stage. We had to get a sick-kit prepared for her (bucket, blue roll, water) because she still wanted to play even though she felt like she was gunna spew her guts. Badass

2. Best part of being in a band...
Creating such a good bond with eachother and being able to be creative together and supporting eachother. Being in a band creates a lovely friendship. But also just being able to perform with people you love is a great experience.

3. And the worst?
The pressure you feel to always be creating or getting more ‘popular’. I always feel this immense pressure that I’m not doing enough, that I’m not good enough etc even though we all have lives outside the band. It’s a silly worry but a big down side to being in a band.

4. If you could take credit for one song what would it be?
I wish I wrote ‘Plump’ by Hole. It’s really lyrically intelligent and musically amazing. Or ‘White Boy’ by Bikini Kill because... well, have you heard it? Who WOULDN’T want to write that!

5. Best movie you've watched recently?
The best film I saw recently was definitely ‘A Quiet Place’. It was a really interesting and intense film, and all of the performances were incredible. Emily Blunt deserves every award for that labour scene in my opinion.

6. If you weren't in a band, what would you all hope to be doing?
There’s not much else we’d want to do, I don’t think. It’s our end goal. But I’d maybe just want to be a song writer, getting paid loads of money to write songs for other people sounds like a great deal.

7. What's your biggest musical guilty pleasure?
I don’t have any guilty pleasures, I openly and happily listen to a lot of cheesy shit. Recently I’ve rekindled my love for the Bedingfield siblings. What talent.

8.  Describe your sound in 3 words...
Punky, Funky, Fun.

9. Any pre-show rituals?
We usually eat food and just tell eachother how nervous we are or how many times we’ve been for a pee.

10. If Peach Club was an actual club, what would being a member entail and would there be any rules?
It would probably be a really cool book club or a night club that just plays cheesy pop music and our rules would be:
- no misogynists
- no transphobes
- no homophobes
- no bigots
- no tories
- no cops
