THE SHOOTOUT: SUNFLOWER THIEVES

1. Tell us your most interesting story from gigging...
Not sure about interesting, but definitely a memorable one for us was playing at YNOT Festival 2017. We'd been going to YNOT for six years as punters, and never expected to be able to play. We got to play two sets on two different stages, and it was so surreal looking out and seeing a strange and beautiful mix of people we knew and recognised (as well as those we didn't know at all) from different parts of our lives all stood together filling this big white tent! It was like a weird dream, where you wake up and you're not sure whether it actually happened.

2. Best part of being an artist...
Sharing music that you have created from scratch, using our personal thoughts and feelings, and seeing how people interpret them, how it can move them.

3. And the worst?
Sometimes not being taken seriously/listened to because we are two girls with an acoustic guitar.

4. If you could take credit for one song what would it be?
Lily: Either Motion Sickness - Phoebe Bridgers or Beautifully Unconventional - Wolf Alice
Amy: Anything Jade Bird, probably 'What Am I Here For'.

5. Best TV show you've watched recently?
Lily: Atypical - both seasons are great!
Amy: I jumped on the Game of Thrones bandwagon last year and I CAN'T WAIT for the final season.

6. If you weren't in a band, what would you all hope to be doing?
Lily would love to be producing other bands and artists. Amy can imagine herself doing music journalism. Always something creative.

7. If you owned your own music venue/bar, what things would it have to have?
House plants, wine, fairy lights, and a great PA.

8. Describe your sound in 3 words...
Our new single was recently described as an 'extremely comfortable hug.'

9. Any pre-show rituals?
We should really get better at gig prep but no! You'll often find us throwing together a set list about 5 minutes before showtime.

10. Ideal choice of milkshake?
Lily: Banana Oat Milk Milkshake
Amy: Oreo
