Yer Gran’s on some spice boys’ shoulders with a dark fruit daquiri slush in one hand and a flare in the other. Ok, there was no flare, but she was lovin’ it, as was the whole room. Metronomy kicked off the Hit The North festivities in style, creating a party atmosphere with their Madonna-meets-New-Order-via-a-tropical-destination sounds. Boiler Shops' rustic-cum-modern layout created a warehouse vibe in parts and sent Yer Gran wild, like she was back at the Hacienda. Lovely stuff.
