APE: THE STAVES

 Opening with “Wisely and Slow”, the bands produced a lesson in harmonising, using a variety of instruments, including a ukulele, it was impressive, especially considering the lack of drum kit on stage. The sisters, known for the beautiful compatibility, waltzed through an array of original songs, broken up by covers of Bruce Springsteen and The Waterboys, you could just shut your eyes and listen, the trio sending you to Nashville or Austin or wherever else in the deep south you want to go.
